Indications
SULFAVES® SULFAVES® is indicated as an aid in the control and treatment of the following diseases in chickens and

turkeys caused by pathogens susceptible to sulfamerazine, sulfamethazine, and sulfaquinoxaline:

• Coccidiosis
Pasteurellosis (Acute Fowl Cholera)
• Salmonellosis

Dosage and Administration
Water-Soluble Antibiotic Powder for 1) Coccidiosis – Chickens

As an aid to control and treat coccidiosis caused by E. tenella, E. mivati, E. maxima, E. brunetti, E.
Oral Administration acervulina, and E. necatrix: Coccidiosis

•
Provide medicated water (0.04% solution) for 2–3 days
For Veterinary Use Only • Then plain water for 3 days
•
Then medicated water (0.025% solution) for 2 days
• If bloody droppings appear, repeat 0.025% solution for 2 more days Pasteurellosis
• Do not change litter during the treatment period

2) Pasteurellosis (Acute Fowl Cholera) – Chickens & Turkeys
As an aid to control and treat Pasteurella multocida infection: Salmonellosis

• Provide medicated water (0.04% solution) for 2–3 days

• If disease recurs, repeat the treatment

3) Salmonellosis – Chickens & Turkeys

As an aid to control and treat Salmonella infections:
• Provide medicated water (0.033% solution) for 5 days

4) Coccidiosis – Turkeys

As an aid to control and treat infections caused by E. meleagrimitis and E. adenoeides:

• Provide medicated water (0.025% solution) for 2 days
• Then plain water for 3 days

• Then medicated water (0.025% solution) for 2 days
• Then plain water for 3 days

• Then medicated water (0.025% solution) for 2 days

• Repeat if necessary
• Do not change litter during the therapy period

Instructions for Preparation of SULFAVES® Solution
• 0.04% Solution:

Add 1 sachet (100 g) to 250 liters of drinking water

• 0.033% Solution:
Add 1 sachet (100 g) to 300 liters of drinking water

• 0.025% Solution:
Add 1 sachet (100 g) to 400 liters of drinking water

Notes
• Prepare a fresh solution daily

• Use only medicated water during treatment unless otherwise directed
• For outbreaks, start SULFAVES® immediately after diagnosis

• If no improvement within 72 hours, consult a veterinarian

• Treated animals must consume sufficient medicated water to receive a therapeutic dose

Contraindications

• Do not use in laying birds producing eggs for human consumption
