Composition
Each liter of solution contains:
Thiamphenicol 100 g

Indication
Thiamphenicure 10%® is indicated for the treatment of respiratory infections, Salmonellosis, gastro-enteritis, meningitis and encephalitis caused by micro-organisms susceptible to thiamphenicol in calves and poultry.
Dosage and administration
• General dosage: 30 – 40 mg thiamphenicol / kg b.w. For oral administration via drinking water or milk replacer.
• Calves: 2 – 3 ml / liter of drinking water, daily, for up to 5 days.
• Poultry: 1.5 – 2 L / 1000 liter of drinking water, daily, for up to 5 days. Duration and dosage should be prescribed by a veterinarian. Medicated drinking water should be used within 24 hours. Medicated milk replacer should be used within 12 hours.
Contraindication
• Do not administer to animals hypersensitive to thiamphenicol.
• Do not administer to animals with an active rumen and intestinal microbial flora.
• Do not administer to animals with an impaired kidney function. Do not use in layers producing eggs for human consumption.
Withdrawal period
Meat: 12 days from the last treatment
Milk: 5 days from the last treatment
Incompatibility with other drugs
Do not combine with penicillin, cephalosporins, amino-glycosides, as it will result in an antagonistic effect.
Storage
• Keep it in room temperature and away from direct sunlight.
• Keep the lid of container closed.
Precautions
• Keep out of reach of children.
• Use in pregnant or lactating animals only after risk/benefit assessment by veterinarian.
• Reduce dosage in animals with impaired kidney function.
• Do not use after Exp date.
• The shelf life, if sealed and subject to storage conditions, is 3 years from the date of manufacture and 28 days if opened.
Environmental Considerations
• Avoid release to the environment.
• Dispose in a safe manner in accordance with local regulations.
